The CIPT exam verifies the candidates on issues related to data privacy with regards to technology and allows them to implement the knowledge they have secured in their routine workflow as they play their role of a data professional. Each candidate has 2.5 hours to complete the 90 questions in the official exam. When attempting it for the first time, the fee you pay is $550. About the passing score, with 300 points, you can nail any of the IAPP exams, where the range is from 100 to 500 points. It is critical to note that the 300 grades are not necessarily equivalent to 60%. To add more, a candidate has to pay $250 as a maintenance fee when they register for this exam. Commonly, renewal for certification has to happen every two years but if you are an IAPP member, it is included in the membership fee.
